This course goes around the entire city of Saiki, the largest in Kyushu, and allows you to enjoy the rich nature of the sea, mountains, and rivers. This course has 5 passes of about 200 meters, and it’s total elevation is greater than 2,200 meters. Please do your best to complete the course!

Kikuchi Cycling Road Waterside Touring Course
A water touring course with an elevation difference of 48m, stretching a total of 25.9km through Kikuchi City in Kumamoto Prefecture.
Enjoy the clear stream of the Kikuchi River that flows out of the Kikuchi Valley, as well as the natural spring water and food you can have at rest spots. After cycling, why not take a dip in Kikuchi Onsen to recover?

The “Minamata-Ashikita Mountain Route” runs through terraced rice fields and steep mountain passes
This scenic route winds through a serene mountainous landscape adorned with terraced rice fields. Starting from the "Roadside Station Ono Onsen" and ending at "Roadside Station Ashikita Dekopon," cyclists can enjoy a leisurely ride along a relatively gentle riverside road, breathing in the crisp mountain air. The most challenging segment of the route lies in the mountain pass between the Furuishi and Kugino areas, featuring steep slopes of over 10% that will put cyclists' leg strength to the test. In the Kugino area, travelers can discover the source of the Samukawa River and marvel at the beauty of terraced rice fields. Descending from this point leads to Minamata Station via a 14-kilometer bicycle/pedestrian path known as "Japan's Longest Sports Field," repurposed from the abandoned JR Yamano Line. Clean restrooms and drinking fountains are conveniently located along the route for a comfortable journey, but cyclists should exercise caution and refrain from speeding.
“Yatsushiro-Minamata Seaside Route”, a road with a superb view of citrus fruits and the sea
Spanning 80 kilometers, this picturesque route treats travelers to breathtaking views of the Yatsushiro Sea and the Amakusa Islands. Initially flat until reaching Higo Futami, the journey then becomes more challenging, with undulating terrain along the Rias coast. En route, you'll encounter citrus groves, scenic capes, white sandy beaches, and a local railway traversing the landscape, all adding to its allure. Indulge in delectable gourmet delights, including fresh seafood, specialty citrus fruits, and succulent Ashikita beef. Along the way, there are two hot spring resorts where visitors can unwind and rejuvenate. For a unique experience, consider hopping aboard the Hisatsu-Orenji Railway's cycle train, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to your exploration of this remarkable route .
"Yatsushiro/Hikawa Circuit Route" offers a delightful opportunity to explore the highlights of the Yatsushiro/Hikawa area at your own pace.
This route links downtown Yatsushiro with the neighboring towns of Hikawa and Hinaku Onsen. If you're interested in a leisurely city tour starting from JR Yatsushiro Station, the Yatsushiro Midori-no-Kairo Route, stretching 7 kilometers and beginning right in front of the station, is ideal. Following the scenic path along the Maegawa River leads to Kumamon Port Yatsushiro, where you can catch glimpses of the legendary Kappa (water imps) and the beloved Kumamon (bears). Continuing south through picturesque countryside brings you to Hinaku, a hot spring resort boasting a charming retro townscape and a history dating back 600 years. Departing from Ryukoku Park opens up opportunities to explore the Miyahara area, the birthplace of Hinakuni, Tategami Gorge, and Ishiko-no-Sato, renowned for its numerous well-preserved stone bridges.
“Kuma River Route” into a landscape shaped by the majestic flow of the Kuma River

The vibrant green Kuma River ranks among Japan's top three fastest rivers. This scenic route commences at Kumamon Port Yatsushiro, located at the mouth of the Kuma River, and stretches along its banks to Kuma Village. Ideal for beginners, the path features gentle slopes and offers stunning views of the Kuma River's breathtaking natural beauty. Along the way, you'll encounter numerous attractions including roadside stations, historic hot spring resorts, limestone caves, and other scenic spots perfect for leisurely exploration. Although the Kuma River basin suffered significant damage during the July 2020 downpours, we aim to support its recovery by visiting this route once it reopens to traffic, in hopes of bringing smiles back to the local community as soon as possible.
A course where you can see the power of the moon's gravity: the "Road Station Tour" 17km course
On this course, you can visit locations such as the Road Station Tara Tarafuku-kan where you can buy Tara seasonal farm goods and seafood, as well as the Road Station Kashima where you can enjoy a 'tidal flat experience' which uses the tidal flats of the Ariake Sea, a sea with the largest difference in tidal range in Japan.

Shrines - Temples - Hizen Hamashuku 13km Course
This is a course that visits many Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, such as the Important Traditional Building Group Conservation District "Hizen Hamashuku",
the "Yutoku Inari Shrine" (Chinzei Nikko) which is one of the 3 biggest Inari shrines in Japan, and the "Tanjo-in" which is the birthplace of the sage Kakuban.
Hizen Hamashuku 3km Townscape Strolling Course
This is a course that travels around the Hamashozu-machi and Hamakanaya-machi Preservation District for Group of Traditional Buildings as well as the Hachihongi-shuku Preservation District for Group of Traditional Buildings.
The sake brewery streets along the route are very popular among tourists.
