At the starting point of the Jokufu Cycling road there is a ceramic relief dedicated to a Chinese man named Jokufu (Chinese name: Xu Fu). The history of Jofuku's arrival in Japan is recorded on this relief.

Completed in 1992, the Jofuku Cycling Road is a cycling road totaling around 5km in length that utilizes the site of the former National Railway Saga Line. Some areas of the track are uneven, but it is mostly straight and even so it is easy to cycle on, making it a popular method of getting to school or work. During the cherry blossom season, the ~1,200 cherry trees along the road all bloom in unison, transforming into a tunnel of pink petals-- a beautiful sight that will cleanse your spirit. The sight of the trees with fresh green leaves is also very lively.

Also, along the cycling road are exhibited 284 pieces of artwork drawn by children from Japan and around the world as part of the "Nationwide Hometown Pictures" contest; these pictures add extra flavor to every part of the cycling route.
