Nomozaki Cycling Road

Nichinan Coast Sunshine Miyazaki Ride
The Nichinan Coast, famous even within Miyazaki Prefecture as the best scenic spot for its beautiful coastline, has been certified as a course for a cycling event for the first time. This is the "Nichinan Coast Sunshine Miyazaki Ride" which attracts entries from all over Japan.
Held in mid April of every year, in 2018 the event was held for the 7th time. The course passes by the ocean and through the mountains, letting cyclists enjoy a wide variety of Miyazaki Prefecture's scenery and gourmet. Why not give this course a try?
Hibikinada Cycling Road
A course where you can enjoy cycling while savoring the ocean's scent.
The course is a bicycle-exclusive road, so anyone from beginner to expert can enjoy cycling without hesitation.
Jokufu Cycling road
At the starting point of the Jokufu Cycling road there is a ceramic relief dedicated to a Chinese man named Jokufu (Chinese name: Xu Fu). The history of Jofuku's arrival in Japan is recorded on this relief.
Completed in 1992, the Jofuku Cycling Road is a cycling road totaling around 5km in length that utilizes the site of the former National Railway Saga Line. Some areas of the track are uneven, but it is mostly straight and even so it is easy to cycle on, making it a popular method of getting to school or work. During the cherry blossom season, the ~1,200 cherry trees along the road all bloom in unison, transforming into a tunnel of pink petals-- a beautiful sight that will cleanse your spirit. The sight of the trees with fresh green leaves is also very lively.
Also, along the cycling road are exhibited 284 pieces of artwork drawn by children from Japan and around the world as part of the "Nationwide Hometown Pictures" contest; these pictures add extra flavor to every part of the cycling route.
Chikugo River Cycling Road
This is a ~27km cycling road that runs along the largest river in Kyushu, the Chikugo River.
You can enjoy gazing up at Mt. Minoyama as you cycle. The height variation is very slight so it is a beginner-friendly course.
Cycle Festa in Sakurajima Fun Ride Course
A roundtrip course with lots of beautiful scenery. The course goes 36km around "Sakurajima", where you can see the Kinko Bay between the Osumi Peninsula and Satsuma Peninsula. On days with good weather you can see the Osumi Peninsula (westernmost tip of Japan proper) and on the right side (Satsuma Peninsula) you can see Kaimon-dake, commonly called "Satsuma-fuji." Also, at the back side of Kinko Bay where the scent of the sea is strong, you can see the Kirishima Mountain Range, making this an ideal course.
Cycle Festa in Sakurajima also has a 2.8km personal time trial course, and a 5.2km hill climb course.
Iojima Cycling Road
This flat seaside road has very little traffic on it, making it a safe course for beginners.
The road is full of spots cyclists can enjoy all year long, such as Iojima's symbolic building "Oki-no-shima Tenshudo (Magome Church)", the "Aze-no-iwabae" which appears when the tide is low, and Yuuhigaoka Observatory where you can watch the sunset on the horizon.

Kunisaki Peninsula Cycling Course
Time required: 20min ~ 3 hours.
This is a cycling road where you can enjoy the coastline scenery between Kitsuki City and Kunisaki City. On the way, there is the Tomiku-jinja Shrine which is said to bestow blessings for good luck and winning the lottery, as well as the Kunisaki Cycling Terminal which has a tourist information center, restaurant.
Amakusa Shiro Cycling Festa Island Journey 80 (Middle Course)
The "Amakusa Shiro Cycling Festa" is dedicated to showing the charms of the Amakusa region through cycling, allowing visitors to experience the hidden spots of Amakusa at the unique pace offered by a bicycle ride.
The Island Journey 80 Middle Course is a course suited for intermediate-level cyclists.
Osaki Nature Park Cycling Road
The glittering waves of Omura Bay, the sea breeze on your skin, seasonal wild birds and flowers, and many more other spirit-cleansing experiences await you.
Please enjoy this course, which uses the entirety of the Osaki Peninsula.
RinRin Road
The "RinRin Road" is a 4.5km cycling/pedestrian road that connects Minamisatsuma's beach area to the heart of the city;
it utilizes the former Nansatsu Railroad Bansen Line to offer easy access.
Downtown Culture Discovery Route
"This course runs through the heart of the city, and the highlight are the many sculptures and bronze statues that you can see.
In the walking park and nearby locations there are memorial monuments dedicated to people and accomplishments from the time of Nanban culture; a sculpture by the Oita Prefecture native Fumio Asakura is located here, called ""Oriental Rodin.""
There's also a castle ruins park where a bust of Otomo Sorin is located, as well as an art plaza made by the world-class architect Arata Isozaki, also an Oita native.
Aside from artwork there's also plenty more fun to be had along the route, including several unique shops."
