Oishii Island Kyushu

Kyushu is an island located in the southwest of Japan. Here, in Japan, it is often said that "Whatever you eat in Kyushu will be 'Oishii', Delicious."

Kyushu, temperate all year round, completely ringed by diverse seas and oceans comprised of the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean, with the massive Aso caldera in the center, magnificent mountains extending from the west to the east and possessing several plains, is blessed with myriad foodstuffs, ranging from fish, meats, grains, fruits and vegetables all the way to the very waters of Kyushu. What’s more, the wisdom and passion of the people who live in the individual lands accumulated over long years, and the addition of the rapport between people come together to create the deliciousness of its foods.

On this site we will introduce you to the secrets that lead to the saying “Kyushu foods are Oishii” by dividing them into four categories “Blessings of the land”, “Inimitable evolution”, “Passion of the creators” and the “Rapport between people.”
